All recipes are to use immediately
1. Baking Soda and Vinegar Shampoo
Your hair will feel a bit dry for the first two weeks, then greatly improve and shine like crazy.
1. Mix 1/2-cup baking soda and 3 cups warm water.
2. Use a small amount to wash hair as you would with shampoo.
3. Rinse with 1/2-cup apple cider vinegar.
4. Hair will fizz and pop a bit but won't create suds.
5. Rinse thoroughly and dry as normal.
2. Foot Exfoliant
(This exfoliant is also good for hands.)
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 honey
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1. Mix thoroughly and apply. (You may want to do your hands and feet at separate times.)
2. Let sit for 20 minutes.
3. Rinse thoroughly in warm water and pat dry with a clean towel.
3. Foot Bath
Bare feet are a must in Florida, so a soothing foot bath is perfect. For maximum benefit exfoliate your feet first and add warm water through out the 15 minutes to keep the temperature soothing.
In large bowl:
1 cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4-cup warm milk
Water to cover the top of your feet
1. You may add 4 drops of an essential oil of your choice like Tea tree, Lavender or eucalyptus to kick up the benefits.
2. Soak for 15 minutes.
3. Repeat once a week until your feet are soft and smooth.
4. Soften feet with a milk bath
1/4 cup powdered milk
Bowl of warm water
Soak feet for 20 minutes . The lactic acid in the milk will help dissolve dry skin and brighten nails, and the milk lipids will add moisture.
5. Egg Face Masks
1 egg white
Rub on your face and wash off when it hardens. Tightens pores as well as gives a temporary face lifting effect.
6. Avocado Face Mask
1/2 avocado
1 tsp honey
1/2 tsp fresh lemon juice
l Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and rinse off with warm water. It's that easy.
